Philly Cheesesteak Pull Apart Sliders
Hi Chefs, Myka here 👋
Is there anything more satisfying than reaching for a warm, soft slider? These Philly Cheesesteak Pull Apart Sliders are ready in a pinch, and they’re perfect for game day, lunch in the yard, or just a simple night at home. To start, you’ll mince or press the garlic, chop the chives, and add both to melted butter.
Then, dice a large sweet onion and set aside. Trim your chuck roast of any large fat pockets, before slicing and chopping the meat.
While you preheat your oven to 400℉, heat a large cast iron skillet, and add vegetable oil and the diced onions. Saute them until they begin to brown and caramelize, and set aside.
Now, increase the heat, add vegetable oil, and spread the chopped steak into an even layer, allowing it to brown for a few minutes. Season it with salt and pepper, mixing to combine, before adding your onions. After it’s fully cooked, set aside.
Then, you’ll cut your dinner tolls in half lengthwise, placing the bottom half on a baking sheet. Spread mayo on the bottom half, and add the steak and onions in an even layer. Top the meat with cheese, and bake until the cheese is melted. While that’s happening, spread fig preserves on the cut side of the top half of the rolls.
Finally, assemble your sliders, and brush the tops with the garlic chive butter for an additional five minutes. Place back in the oven for a few more minutes to slightly brown before serving.
Happy cooking!
