  • 4 Tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 3 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 3 Tbsp Allspice
  • 3 Tbsp Black Pepper
  • 2 Tbsp Turinado Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Thyme
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp Rubbed Sage
  • ½ Tbsp Dried Rosemary
  • 1 Whole Nutmeg
  • 1” Fresh Ginger
  • 1 Orange
  • 1 Lime
  • 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Liquid Smoke
  • ½ Cup White Vinegar

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

In a large crockpot, add 2 lbs of raw peanuts. 

Step 2

Slice 6 scotch bonnet peppers and place them in the pot.

Step 3

Add 4 tablespoons of kosher salt.

Step 4

Add 3 tablespoons of onion powder.

Step 5

Add 3 tablespoons of allspice.

Step 6

Add 3 tablespoons of black pepper.

Step 7

Add 2 tablespoons of turbinado sugar. Use brown sugar if you do not have turbinado sugar.

Step 8

Add 2 tablespoons of garlic powder.

Step 9

Add 1 tablespoon of dried thyme.

Step 10

Add 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon.

Step 11

Add 1 tablespoon of rubbed sage.

Step 12

Add ½ tablespoon of dried rosemary.

Step 13

Finely grate 1 whole nutmeg into the pot.

Step 14

Cut and add a 1” piece of fresh ginger.

Step 15

Add the juice of 1 orange.

Step 16

Add the juice of 1 lime.

Step 17

Add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce.

Step 18

Add 2 tablespoons of liquid smoke.

Step 19

Add ½ cup of white vinegar.

Step 20

Fill the crockpot with water, cover with lid and cook on low for 24 hours.
